CSA FAQ’s

  1. What is included in my CSA box and can I customize it?

Each CSA box will include 8-10 produce items - for example: a bag of lettuce, a bunch of carrots, and so on. The contents will shift throughout the season giving you a chance to learn the seasonality of growing here in the PNW - we start with greens and later in the season move towards fruiting veggies (squash, tomatoes, cucumbers). We can not offer customization because we are bringing you the freshest from the field each week. If you love something, shoot us an email and if we can accommodate we are happy to sell you more!

  2. What if I am out of town here and there throughout the summer?
Feel free to let us know and we can send your share along as a donation to one of our partner organizations - or tell a friend where to pick it up and share the wealth! Alternatively - check out our 10-Week option for the most flexibility!

  3. Will I know what we are getting each week?

Great question, YES! We will send a weekly email with a breakdown of what you will be receiving, along with a great recipe to help incorporate what's in the box into a meal.

  4. Can I get a refund mid-season?

No, we rely heavily on the early income to invest in seeds, staffing and everything that goes into growing your food for the season, so we are not able to provide refunds.

  5. Do you grow all of the produce?
We grow about 95% of the produce included, however we have several friendly farms in the valley and some soil is just better for some crops! So each season we like to include a few farm favorites from our friends that we find don’t grow as well here at South 47. This includes melons from our friends over at Caruso Farmsofarm.com/ in Snohomish and potatoes from our friends at Steel Wheel in Fall City.

  6. What if you have Crop Failure?

Interesting questions. Part of the beauty of growing a diverse vegetable garden is that while a particular crop may struggle this season, the rest of the field will be abundantly lush. So… we can confidently say that unless it snows in July… we will be able to satisfy your vegetable desires!
